Save the date : Thursday 16th June @ Firth Court at the University of Sheffield

UnLtd and HEFCE are delighted to announce the details of their national conference.

The event will be of interest to academics, students, support staff and senior staff in HEIs who are committed to social entrepreneurship. The day will not only celebrate and showcase the achievements of the HE Social Entrepreneurship Awards Programme; it will also disseminate key learning and facilitate knowledge sharing around social entrepreneurship and Higher Education.

This is your opportunity to gain practical ideas to feed social entrepreneurship in to your work and lead this with much greater effect within your University. Key themes include:

• Leading a culture of social entrepreneurship – dedicated to what senior staff in HEIs can do on a strategic level and how to lead this with greater effect;
• Teaching and learning through social enterprise – focusing on the role and value of social venture creation for teaching, research and learning;
• Scaling up social venture creation – practical knowledge sharing between social entrepreneurs and those who support them around starting a social venture and becoming sustainable within Higher Education;
• Future networks and partnerships – ideas generation around how can this work be continued, supported and encouraged.

The day will culminate in a set of actionable recommendations, with a view to informing policy around how to embed and promote a culture of social entrepreneurship within Higher Education.
